lyrics
It was a place where I.
A haze that I didn't know.
It was a nasty round.
I didn´t know where to go.
So pick it up baby. Didn't know where to go.
Bring it all along
I´ve never been wrong.
Who´s up for news, I'm the one decayed.
You and I still going strong.
Who gave me the blues, I'm the one astray.
Who´s up for news, I'm the one decayed.
You and I still going strong.
Who´s up for news.
It was a phase where I.
Was in a race that I never won.
I burned myself for so long
Don´t know what I´ve become.
Absolutely killer 70s worship, bringing a mix of traditional rock, hard rock, a sprinkle of pop and a dash of NWOBHM. The female vocals also mix styles, ranging from husky singing to soulful belting. Sometimes I feel like I hear some Pat Benatar, and other times it sounds like something the Scorpions or Judas Priest would have concocted in the early 70s. This is all over the place in the best ways possible, a brilliant execution of creative and inspired songwriting. Lute FP
Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker

Keith Richards, Rosanne Cash, Lucinda Williams, Joan Jett, and more pay tribute to the enduring and visionary music of Lou Reed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 23, 2024
This record hits all the right beats in terms of mood, themes, style and songwriting. It is able to capture that authentic late '60s sound while also doing something fresh. The darkness that lurks beneath the apparent happy music is what gives it depth and how each spin is an experience. I think, personally, that the first half is stronger than the last, but once it dips it basically stays like that until the end, so it's not really high and low, rather high and then not quite as high.
